Position Overview:

  • This role as an Applications Engineer is centered around the integration of innovative Instrument Clusters into upcoming automotive projects.
  • The engineer will take charge of these integration initiatives, orchestrating collaboration among various internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the timely and budget-conscious launch of high-quality Instrument Clusters.
  • We are looking for a proactive leader who can leverage their existing expertise while swiftly acquiring new skills and knowledge.
  • Effective communication in large group settings is essential, with the ability to distill and convey intricate concepts clearly.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration, fostering strong relationships across diverse teams.
  • A history of successfully managing complex projects with suppliers is also crucial.

Required Skills:
  • Lead Application Engineering efforts for Instrument Cluster initiatives (including Electrical PMT support, prototype development, and launch management).
  • Collaborate with design teams and suppliers to create Instrument Clusters that align with program schedules, ensuring compliance with functional, quality, cost, weight, and timing specifications.
  • Oversee the product development lifecycle from initial planning through component development and validation to program launch.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to adhere to program timelines.
  • Conduct weekly PAT and TDR meetings as necessary, collaborating with the program HMI development team.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for software and hardware-related challenges.

Experience Requirements:
  • Experience in applications related to a specific commodity.
  • Project management experience overseeing supplier relationships.
  • Design and release experience for components.

Educational Background:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science is required.

Additional Information:
  • This position is hybrid (3 days onsite) but may transition to fully onsite. Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%).
