Retail Operations Supervisor

Goodwill Industries Vocational Enterprises Inc is seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily retail operations and support our mission of transforming lives through work.
Position Type: Full-Time (35-40 hours per week)
Compensation: $16.00/hour

Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers and donors with a friendly and efficient approach.
- Perform Store Manager duties during weekends and closing shifts.
- Supervise staff in the absence of the Store Manager and act as a role model.
- Manage cash register operations and train new employees on procedures.
- Complete daily and weekly reports and manage bank deposits.
- Monitor store security and enforce policies to prevent theft.
- Work with clients to enhance their skills and work behaviors.
- Support the Store Manager in daily activities and assist in hiring processes.
- Achieve production goals by sorting and pricing donated items.
- Ensure quality control of merchandise and compliance with pricing guidelines.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including displays and stock levels.
- Oversee the donation and production areas to meet agency standards.
- Accept additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Willingness to work at various store locations as needed.
- Strong numerical skills and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Commitment to confidentiality in all professional matters.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in retail or cashier roles is advantageous.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
- A positive attitude and teamwork skills are essential.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and engage in various physical activities.
