Your Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to safety leadership teams, safety monitors, and supervisory staff.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and assessments.
  • Investigate serious injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents with relevant stakeholders.
  • Advise local management and supervisors on injury and illness prevention, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulations.
  • Establish protocols to ensure the availability, maintenance, and proper use of approved personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain up-to-date EHS policies and Job Hazard Analyses for the facility.
  • Develop specialized safety training programs as required.
  • Offer guidance on safety and health requirements related to the procurement of machinery, equipment, and hazardous materials.
  • Prepare necessary injury and illness reports for internal and external regulatory bodies.
  • Lead the Safety Committee.
  • Oversee the purchasing and inventory management of safety equipment.
  • Coordinate and participate in first aid and emergency response team activities.
  • Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies such as OSHA and EPA.
  • Collaborate with Corporate EHS.
  • Opportunity for growth through collaboration with other company sites (minimal travel required).

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be a sole U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance.
  • Certified Safety Professional certification is a plus.
  • Completion of OSHA 30-hour training is preferred.
