Your Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to safety leadership teams, safety monitors, and supervisory staff.
- Conduct regular safety audits and assessments.
- Investigate serious injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents with relevant stakeholders.
- Advise local management and supervisors on injury and illness prevention, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulations.
- Establish protocols to ensure the availability, maintenance, and proper use of approved personal protective equipment.
- Maintain up-to-date EHS policies and Job Hazard Analyses for the facility.
- Develop specialized safety training programs as required.
- Offer guidance on safety and health requirements related to the procurement of machinery, equipment, and hazardous materials.
- Prepare necessary injury and illness reports for internal and external regulatory bodies.
- Lead the Safety Committee.
- Oversee the purchasing and inventory management of safety equipment.
- Coordinate and participate in first aid and emergency response team activities.
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Engage with regulatory agencies such as OSHA and EPA.
- Collaborate with Corporate EHS.
- Opportunity for growth through collaboration with other company sites (minimal travel required).
Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must be a sole U.S. Citizen.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance.
- Certified Safety Professional certification is a plus.
- Completion of OSHA 30-hour training is preferred.
