EHS Specialist

Job Summary

As an EHS Specialist at Curtiss-Wright, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and environmental compliance of our operations. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to safety leadership teams, safety observers, and supervisory personnel
• Conduct periodic safety inspections and surveys
• Investigate serious injuries/illnesses and near miss incidents
• Act as an advisory capacity to local management and supervisors on injury and illness prevention, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulations
• Establish procedures for personal protective equipment and maintain current EHS policies and Job Hazard Analyses
• Develop safety training programs and provide counsel on safety and health requirements
• Prepare injury and illness reports and lead the Safety Committee
• Manage safety equipment purchasing and inventory and coordinate emergency response activities
• Monitor compliance with regulations and interact with regulatory groups

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
• Manufacturing environment experience and knowledge of environmental compliance
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification and OSHA 30 hours training
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
