Position Overview:

The Breast Imaging Specialist will conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations, including breast, small parts, vascular, and obstetrical assessments, ensuring timely and thorough execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing a variety of ultrasound examinations, including breast, small parts, vascular, and obstetrical scans in a timely manner.
  • Integrating clinical history with the examinations conducted.
  • Preparing the examination room and ultrasound equipment for procedures.
  • Assisting radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and vascular ultrasound procedures as required.
  • Identifying and documenting relevant anatomy and pathology using ultrasound technology.
  • Maintaining ultrasound equipment and reporting any malfunctions.
  • Drafting reports based on examination results.
  • Notifying medical staff of any abnormalities requiring immediate attention.
  • Demonstrating problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
  • Working independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Managing multiple priorities effectively while adapting to a dynamic work setting.
  • Exhibiting a strong work ethic and a positive, friendly demeanor.
  • Upholding the highest standards of confidentiality.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in OB and Breast Ultrasound is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in general ultrasound, including breast, small parts, vascular, and obstetrical exams.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Sonographer.
  • Accreditation by ARDMS or ARRT(S) is essential.
