Job Summary

Optum Medical Care, P.C. is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging services team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic examinations, creating a tranquil environment for patients, and adhering to examination instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform primary diagnostic examinations to diagnose or decide the optimal procedure for patients.
  • Patient Care: Create a comfortable and safe environment for patients, ensuring they are protected from excessive radiation.
  • Equipment Operation: Demonstrate competency in operating computerized tomography procedures and related equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure images are of diagnostic quality, and perform quality assurance on images and equipment.
  • Communication: Provide clear instructions and information to patients, families, and medical staff.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with employees to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Professional Growth: Enhance professional growth through education programs, conferences, and workshops.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine preferred.
  • Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certified.
  • Experience: One to four years of experience in general radiologic technology preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to follow oral and written instructions, communicate effectively, and use computerized systems.
Physical Demands
  • Standing and Walking: Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds and patients weighing up to 300 pounds.
  • Eyesight: Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review developed films.
Core Customers and Key Relationships
  • Patients: Provide excellent patient care and communication.
  • Physicians and Medical Staff: Collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • External Medical Partners: Develop strong relationships with external medical partners to ensure seamless patient care.
