Job Summary

The Behavioral Specialist will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement skills-acquisition and behavior intervention plans developed by the IEP team. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to develop relationships with students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement skills-acquisition and behavior intervention plans developed by the IEP team.
  • Assist classroom teacher with instructional activities and working with children.
  • Collect data and conduct assessments to inform instruction and intervention.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and community about factors impacting student performance.

Requirements
  • AA or BA in Education, Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Hold or be in the process of obtaining RBT credentials.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve effectively with students with behavioral and mental health issues.
  • Training and/or experience in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention techniques.

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide medical, dental, vision, basic long-term disability, basic life and AD&D insurance through School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB).
