Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist Lead to join our team at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting the delivery of safe and efficient surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to surgical technologists and other team members
  • Assist in the development and implementation of surgical protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices
  • Supervise and mentor surgical technologists to ensure they meet the highest standards of patient care and safety
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a surgical technologist, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment
