Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist Lead to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our Operating Room team, you will be responsible for preparing patient skin for surgery, transporting patients to and from the Operating Room suite, and positioning patients according to the type of surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards
  • Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite
  • Position patients according to the type of surgery
  • Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to the type of case
  • Perform all processes related to the delivery of direct patient care and assistance care in the OR prior, during, and after any surgical procedure
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of the Surgical Technology program
  • 3 years of experience as a surgical technologist in a hospital or surgery center setting
  • 5 years of experience preferred
  • Lead Tech experience or proven track record as a Surgical Technologist preferred
  • BLS required
  • Certification of Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required
