Job Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of facility-related tasks and documentation as needed. Your duties will include:
  • Installation and repair of leaking pipes, clogged drainage systems, and air lines.
  • Maintenance of electrical and lighting fixtures.
  • Performing light welding and carpentry tasks.
  • Seasonal responsibilities including grounds maintenance and snow removal.

You will also be tasked with maintaining and installing facility-related equipment such as compressors, tower water systems, heating and air conditioning systems, elevators, lifts, and exhaust fan units.

In addition, you will ensure the upkeep of production-related machinery, including tow motors, grinders, dust collectors, stretch wrap machines, gantries, trolleys, and hoists. Maintenance of company vehicles will also be part of your responsibilities.

You will carry a beeper for 24-hour emergency maintenance access for air compressors, boilers, and furnaces. This role requires being on-call for a seven-day period on a six-week rotating schedule, with potential holiday work and occasional overtime.


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED); technical school or degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Certificates in welding, boiler repair, electronics, auto repair, and related fields are advantageous.
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid driver's license.
  • Strong communication skills for one-on-one and group interactions, along with the ability to complete task sheets and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Capability to understand instructions and troubleshoot issues independently.
  • Ability to work from blueprints, work orders, and schematics.
  • Proficiency in basic math operations and measurements.
  • Knowledge of automotive mechanics and ability to operate a plow truck.
  • Comfortable performing tasks from heights above 10 feet.
  • Experience with electronic testing equipment and meters is a plus.

Additional Skills:
Computer proficiency is beneficial.
