  • Industry Representation: Represent the City and County of San Francisco in emerging technology industry standards bodies and government peer and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Partner with Department CIOs and IT Directors to develop technology solutions for improving City operations and services to San Franciscans.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of direct and indirect reports and assemble matrix-style teams across divisions to prioritize, build, test, evaluate, and iterate on key projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of successfully shaping and driving technology policy, leading large-scale governance efforts, and delivering innovative technology projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, IoT, and data analytics.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with technical leaders, community stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Policy Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of the political and legislative landscape of the City, State, and Federal levels.
