Job Title: Blood Specimen Collector and Patient Care Specialist

Location: Synectics Inc. (commute window 20-25 minutes)

About the Job

This role is ideal for a professional with experience in phlebotomy, excellent patient care skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
  • Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
  • Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development.
