Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Knowledge Management Specialist to support our national-level cybersecurity collaboration efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of knowledge management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement knowledge management strategies to support cybersecurity collaboration efforts.
  • Apply expertise in knowledge management tools and deploy information management and content management strategies and experience.
  • Comprehend and recognize key barriers to knowledge management behavioral change and develop effective change management programs.
  • Analyze business processes, interview stakeholders, and evaluate strategic and IT plans to develop knowledge management programs.
  • Develop knowledge management governance structures and processes for implementing knowledge management programs and systems and provide consulting thought leadership on current best practices in knowledge management, portal design, and intellectual capital and content management.
  • Collaborate with and support the Implementation Team to tune and evolve our Knowledge Base.
  • Create training material in support of the knowledge management process.
Requirements
  • Ability to easily communicate with senior government clients, lead discussions, and confidently discuss project status and propose solutions.
  • Ability to work with clients to develop clear expectations, roles, and requirements for short and long-term projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
Desired Skills
  • Experience in the federal government sector.
  • Experience supporting DHS programs or initiatives.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts is a plus.
  • Customer service orientation with strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Additional training or education in area of specialization.
Education and Experience Requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualified in Information and Knowledge Management.

Sound understanding of Records Management System (RMS). Ability to develop a systematic and efficient control of the creation, maintenance, and destruction of the records along with the business transactions associated with them.

Desired Skills:

SharePoint Fundamentals.

CATMS.

Microsoft Teams.

Establishing Video Conferences.

JADE.

Familiarity with JIRA product suite including Confluence and Knowledge Space.

Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients.

Experience supporting sales and business development.

Experience with financial management.

Years of Experience: 4+

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree
