Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimated tax payments
  • Manage the creation and distribution of checks and federal/state estimated tax vouchers
  • Prepare payroll tax filings for household employers
  • Process electronic submissions of tax returns
  • Maintain a ledger for tax refunds
  • Conduct gain/loss reviews and comparisons
  • Manage a tax database to track client deadlines and filings
  • Maintain data for tax reporting systems
  • Print, collate, and send tax returns to clients
  • Organize and scan electronic tax documents
  • Print and send notices to IRS and state agencies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
    • A Master's degree is highly preferred
    • Must meet the 150 credit requirement for CPA eligibility
  • Experience with ProSystem Tax or OneSource Trust Tax is advantageous
