Position Overview

Salary:
Williams Architects Aquatics, a prominent architecture and planning firm dedicated to community-focused public facilities, is in search of full-time Architectural Project Specialists to enhance our expanding national practice. These roles are particularly suited for recent graduates from accredited architectural programs who are eager to acquire the experience necessary to meet the NCARB Architectural Experience Program (AXP) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As an Architectural Project Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Creating design and construction document outputs for a diverse range of public sector initiatives utilizing Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and Photoshop, adhering to firm standards.
  • Engaging in bidding, permitting, and construction phase tasks, which encompass the preparation of bid phase addenda, submission of documents for permit evaluation, review of construction submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting on-site construction phase observations.
  • Assisting in the investigation of relevant codes, zoning, and permitting stipulations for various projects.
  • Supporting the research of materials, products, and systems applicable to projects.
  • Contributing to the project design and concept development process both internally and in collaboration with clients, within the guidelines established by firm management.
  • Helping to develop graphics and concepts for business development initiatives.
  • Performing additional firm support tasks as required.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Architecture or Architectural Studies from an accredited institution.
  • 1-4 years of experience in an architectural firm, ideally with a focus on non-residential projects.
  • Architectural license / AXP track is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and Photoshop is essential. A skills assessment in Revit may be conducted during the interview process.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Capability to interact professionally with office leadership and clients.
  • Ability to independently manage tasks from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
  • A strong commitment to client satisfaction and an interest in business development is preferred.
