Position Summary

The Mechanical Program Manager is tasked with spearheading the development of storage platform initiatives from the initial planning phase through to hardware and firmware validation and production. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, effectively managing both small and large multi-disciplinary teams, which may be geographically dispersed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee technical operations, budgets, and timelines to guarantee timely and high-quality project outcomes.
  • Facilitate regular communication and meetings with engineering teams, partner organizations, and management.
  • Direct the manufacturing support team’s resources, providing updates on progress, challenges, and areas needing attention.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and precision in product development through improved processes, tools, and templates.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive Project Plans based on Product Requirement Documents and Statements of Work, detailing tasks, milestones, resources, and timelines.
  • Mitigate project risks through continuous identification, assessment, and management.
  • Participate in regular technical project meetings with development teams and core program teams.
  • Prepare and present project status updates and formal reviews.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of third-party partners.
  • Oversee the workload and time management of the engineering team.
  • Ensure compliance with product life cycle processes, checklists, and reviews.
  • Collaborate with technical leads and management to prioritize tasks across various projects.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred, with additional qualifications in Project Management or Business Administration being advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Experience with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the design and manufacturing of storage platforms for Data Center Systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities to foresee and address program challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
