Exceptional Care for Hospitalized Pets

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team at Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital. As an integral part of our overnight shifts, you will be at the forefront of providing exceptional care to our hospitalized and ICU patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive care to a diverse range of patients, including postoperative surgical patients, internal medicine cases, ICU patients, and those requiring ophthalmologic attention.
  • Utilize advanced technical skills to ensure our patients receive the best treatment possible, including collecting samples, administering medications, and calculating dosages.
  • Triage critical cases, monitor patient vitals, and promptly report any changes in status to the attending doctor.
  • Provide empathetic communication to educate and update owners on their pet's condition and facilitate smooth patient discharges.
