**Job Summary**

This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Supervision and Policy, Large Bank Supervision Branch, Horizontal Risk Management Sections of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

The selected candidate will provide support in implementing national programs related to large financial institution analysis.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Serves as a recognized industry expert in the supervision and examination of financial institutions.
  • Conducts complex financial analyses, quality control reviews, and other supervisory work related to large, complex insured depository institutions.
  • Performs horizontal risk analysis of those institutions and their business activities.
  • Develops, tests, and refines analytical processes and participates as the FDIC's representative on various internal and external working groups.
  • Provides expert advice on policy initiatives and interprets and recommends changes related to existing policy and comprehensive programs.

**Requirements**

  • Completion Of Financial Disclosure May Be Required.
  • Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required.
  • Employee may be relocated to any duty location to meet management needs.

**Qualifications**

  • Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector.
  • Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social).
  • Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

**Additional Information**

  • Selectee(s) for this position will be required to report to their duty station office two days per week.
  • Financial Institution Examiners must maintain the highest personal ethical standards as provided in Part 336 of the FDIC's Rules and Regulations, (Employee Responsibilities and Conduct).
  • Financial Institution Examiners must comply with Section of Supplemental Standards of Ethical Conduct for FDIC Employees (5 CFR Part 3201), which, in part, prohibits them and their immediate families from accepting certain credit from State nonmember banks.
