Position Overview: As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our inventory systems. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that inventory management protocols are meticulously adhered to and documented. You will be tasked with analyzing and reporting essential data to uphold inventory precision, oversee cycle counting procedures, and manage warehouse allocations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain precise inventory documentation.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of continuous inventory processes.
  • Coordinate scheduled cycle counts effectively.
  • Ensure accurate application of measurement units and uphold proper labeling for all items.
  • Provide training to staff on necessary procedures to guarantee compliance.
  • Support the completion of physical inventory counts as directed by management.
  • Compile and analyze reports on inventory control outcomes and activities.
  • Evaluate inventory metrics and propose enhancements.
  • Manage and assess databases and reports to facilitate inventory control analysis and reporting.
  • Become proficient in the Canopy system and recommend required reports.

Qualifications:

  • Strong mathematical, reading, communication (both verbal and written), and analytical/problem-solving skills. Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively.
  • Capability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, sound judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Forklift certification may be necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Physical ability to lift/move up to 70 lbs independently or greater weights with assistance.
  • Prior experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is essential.
