Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Knorr-Bremse. As a key member of our stockroom operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock, monitor, and distribute inventory in a timely and accurate manner
  • Count and verify part numbers with final inspection paperwork
  • Pull small parts for assembly daily and place parts on designated assembly trucks
  • Prepare spare kits by accurately pulling parts by part number, quantity, and visual inspection
  • Report major breakdowns to proper personnel to minimize downtime
  • Maintain inventories, return parts for restocking, and cycle-count parts with high degree of accuracy
  • Ensure proper fits are achieved during daily build schedules
  • Input data into computer mainframe for inventory transactions, receiving, and labels for spare part orders
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Communication skills, ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions
  • Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • One year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in shipping/receiving in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Completion of forklift certification
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with emphasis on Standardized Work, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and JIT principles
