Excess and Surplus Lines Senior Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled Excess and Surplus Lines Senior Underwriter to join our team at Church Mutual Insurance, S.I. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that values innovation and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a book of business submitted by contracted producers to achieve profitability goals.
- Assist underwriting personnel at all levels in analyzing and evaluating risk, recognizing exposures to make sound underwriting decisions.
- Build strong working relationships with producers, brokers, and vendors to drive business growth and development.
- Review and evaluate products, filings, and pricing needs, making recommendations for enhancements and changes as appropriate.
- Develop opportunities for information flow and maintain and continue to develop technical knowledge and expertise.
- Contribute to the management team, discussing issues, developing efficiencies, and identifying and assisting in resolving conflicts.
- Participate/lead assigned projects and special research projects as necessary.
- 10+ years of underwriting, product development, product management, claims, risk management, distribution management, or related functions with a proven record of favorable accomplishments.
- Bachelor's degree or comparable industry experience may be considered with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
- CPCU, ASLI, ARM, or equivalent designations preferred, or evidence of continuing and progressive education in the insurance industry.
- Solid technical knowledge of commercial insurance forms, rates, and rules.
- Understanding of the state and federal regulatory environment.
- Skilled in building relationships, sound judgment, making decisions, and influencing others.
- Possesses a customer-centric service philosophy.
- Above-average communication skills.
- Negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills.
- Thorough understanding or ability to learn new lines of business, including insurance procedures, processes, and product lifecycle management.
- Ability to promote a team environment of creative innovation.
- Understanding of Church Mutual's mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives.
Church Mutual is an equal opportunity employer. We offer a competitive salary range of $94,300.00 to $[removed] per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
