Job Summary

As a key member of our underwriting operations team, you will be responsible for evaluating complex risks, developing metrics, and analyzing information to make recommendations that impact profitability trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate information and exposures on complex risks for third-party insurance carriers, using risk characteristics and trends to guide individual risk pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions.
  • Analyze claims and loss history, taking into consideration appropriate action on individual accounts or program or territory.
  • Provide underwriting performance expertise and perspective to B&A Insurance Solutions management team on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop positive business relationships with co-workers, agents, and carriers, and serve as a resource for the field force and sales management.
Requirements
  • Underwriting experience in specialty lines or commercial.
  • Understanding of surplus and specialty insurance.
  • Excess & Surplus lines experience.
  • Agency management system experience.
Work Arrangement

This is a flex office/home role, requiring a minimum of 10 days per month from one of our office locations: Madison, WI; Boston, MA; or Phoenix, AZ.
