About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching, specifically in special education, and be skilled at developing and implementing individualized plans for students.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering instructional programs tailored to meet student requirements, managing classroom environments to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructional Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district standards, taking into account individual student needs and abilities.
- Classroom Management: Create a safe, engaging, and respectful environment that fosters academic growth and social-emotional development.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to provide comprehensive support to students and families.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and valid Texas teaching certification are essential. Special education certification is also required, with ESL certification preferred or required within two years of employment.
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviors is highly valued.
