Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team at W-Industries. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting materials and products to ensure they meet our high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect materials and products for conformance to specifications
  • Examine materials or products for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds
  • Select products for tests at specified stages in the production process
  • Test for various qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics
Requirements
  • Fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics
  • Fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation, and implementation with respect to domestic and international requirements
  • Able to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with Quality principles, which includes planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems
  • Able to plan, control, and assure product application, including design, manufacturing, and construction
  • Interact with supervisor, process owner, process operators, and other interested parties to perform assigned tasks
Working Conditions

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience
  • 3+ years or more of related certification and inspection experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years or more within a multidiscipline manufacturing environment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to read and interpret metal rule
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Read and understand mechanical and structural drawings
  • Working knowledge of computers and software such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Experience in documented Quality Management Systems (QMS)
