Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for conducting quality control inspections, testing and analysis, and documentation and reporting. You will work closely with our quality team to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that raw materials and components meet quality specifications.
  • Perform various tests and analyses on products using specialized equipment and techniques to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from quality standards.
  • Document test results, inspection findings, and any deviations from quality standards accurately.
  • Report findings to relevant stakeholders such as quality managers, production supervisors, or engineers.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance product quality, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Investigate the root causes of quality issues or non-conformities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide training to production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in Quality Control.
  • Technical Competence: Understanding and experience in Metal, electrical and chemical manufacturing processes, quality control methods, and relevant testing techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously inspect products and identify even minor defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Orientation to data collection and KPI setting: Capability to define the proper Quality KPIs and commitment to use data as a source of truth in a methodical way.
  • Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze data and test results to identify trends, patterns, risks, or anomalies that may indicate quality issues or opportunities for improvement.
  • Critical Thinking: The ability to critically analyze KPI data to identify root causes of performance issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Regulatory Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, quality standards (such as ISO 9001), and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge in Six Sigma and lean Manufacturing methodologies: Understanding of these methodologies and experience in the implementation of processes and tools accordingly.
  • Experience in Communicating and training workshop staff in quality procedures.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence when working with vendors and our internal teams.
  • Experience working for a global organization.
