Job Summary

The Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Services Manager I to join our team. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to staff, ensuring the effective delivery of examination and recruitment services.
  • Develop and oversee the administration of the Annual Exam Plan, working closely with program managers to determine and negotiate current and future examination needs.
  • Oversee and review the work of staff responsible for facilitating Job Analysis sessions, ensuring compliance with guidelines and the annual exam plan.
  • Manage and maintain the daily operations of the Examination and Recruitment Office, providing direction, guidance, and leadership to staff.

Requirements

  • Must have taken and passed an examination to obtain list eligibility for the classification.
  • Strong leadership and technical skills, with experience in examination and recruitment services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, program managers, and other stakeholders.

Working Conditions

This is a hybrid position, with the opportunity to work remotely and physically report to the office. The successful candidate will be required to travel to State Special School sites on occasion.
