Overview

The Field Sales Consultant is responsible for self-generating sales leads and presenting in-home solar solutions to potential customers. Their primary goal is to establish genuine connections with customers, qualifying and vetting solar as a viable energy solution for their homes and families. This role requires face-to-face interaction, engaging customers, and working outdoors, making it ideal for those who enjoy these aspects of sales.

  • Develop effective self-generated sales strategies, generate leads, and schedule appointments with potential customers.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience from initial contact through installation and beyond.
  • Conduct in-home sales presentations, evaluate customer knowledge and needs, and build long-lasting relationships.
  • Manage the pipeline of activity from prospect to install by following up on all leads and in-home consultations.
  • Accurately report outcomes via our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Meet minimum required sales targets as set by sales leadership.
Qualifications/How You Will Be Successful
  • Minimum 1 year of sales and/or lead generation experience, preferably with in-home sales experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license, and maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary for partnering cross-functionally to address customer needs.
  • Willingness to spend time traveling within local markets, depending on business needs and sales models.
  • Intermediate comfort level with technology, utilizing an iPad/computer and multiple software applications (experience with a CRM is a plus).
