Labor Relations Specialist

Our corporate headquarters, located in Lisle, Illinois, houses the administrative and corporate support functions for the organization. Our 250+ local customer service centers (CSCs) are supported by regional operations teams located throughout North America.
We are seeking a Labor Relations Specialist to join our Legal Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing labor relations activities, including negotiations, contract administration, and conflict resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in negotiation and drafting of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and ensure their effective implementation.
- Review and interpret labor contracts, providing guidance to management and employees.
- Act as a mediator in disputes between management and union representatives or employees.
- Conduct investigations into employee grievances and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement labor relations policies and procedures to promote fair treatment and workplace harmony.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in labor relations or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience conducting effective & objective investigations and recommending the advisability of corrective action.
- Ability to manage conflict and resolve disputes effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 80%.
