Key Responsibilities:

As a Patient Access Representative, you will:

  • Create a welcoming atmosphere for patients, families, visitors, and staff while managing the processes of pre-admission, admission, and registration.
  • Conduct interviews with patients or their representatives to gather essential demographic and financial information for registration and admission, accurately documenting this information in the electronic records system.
  • Verify insurance coverage, communicate financial obligations to patients or their representatives, and collect any outstanding patient payments prior to or at the time of service.
  • Act as a mentor for new team members and assist in onboarding processes.

Your Contribution to the Team:

  • Maintain accuracy in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Emphasize the significance of quality and confidentiality in capturing patient information.
  • Consistently execute the registration process with timeliness, accuracy, and courtesy.
  • Process daily reports as assigned.
  • Collect patient payments prior to or at the time of service, adhering to established protocols.

Qualifications:

What You Need to Succeed:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in an office setting within a healthcare environment
