Meat Department Director

About the Role:
Festival Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Senior Director to lead our Meat & Seafood merchandising program. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning and directing the overall strategy and operations of the Meat Department across all store locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and develop a team of Meat Department managers to ensure exceptional guest service, personnel performance, and in-store merchandising.
- Establish and execute standards for purchasing, product selection, promotion, and advertising plans.
- Monitor department safety standards and ensure compliance.
- Analyze market trends and suggest changes to stay competitive.
- Manage daily and seasonal product assortments for all store locations.
- Develop financial forecasts for sales and profit goals for Meat Department operations.
- Assist in annual forecasting and budgeting for the Meat Department.
- Regularly review and adjust the Annual Operating Plan for the Meat Department.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a retail environment.
- Knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, quantitative analysis, and resource allocation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and OneNote.
- Proficient in Servant Leadership practices.
Work Environment:
The Meat Senior Director will spend approximately 40% of their time in stores, interacting with Meat Department teams, and the remainder of their time in an office environment. The role requires regular travel within the state of Wisconsin, up to 50% of the time.
