Job Overview

Position Summary

This is a full-time hybrid position for a Service Technician at PLEVA INC, offering flexibility for remote work. The Service Technician will be tasked with the installation, upkeep, and repair of electronic systems both on-site and remotely. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical challenges and delivering customer support across the Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia regions. The role requires meticulous documentation of service and installation activities while maintaining effective communication with clients and internal teams. Candidates should possess foundational technology knowledge, basic networking skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring high-quality workmanship. Comprehensive training will be provided both in-office and in the field under the guidance of a supervisor. Upon completion of training, the technician will operate independently from a remote office and in the field.

  • Relevant IT skills, particularly in Windows and network communication
  • Prior experience in the field service industry is advantageous
  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential
  • Must pass a background screening

Primary Responsibilities

  • The Technician will primarily work from a home office when not visiting customer sites for service
  • Extensive training will be provided to ensure proficiency in the role
  • Conduct a comprehensive range of services, including repairs and preventive maintenance, both remotely and in-person
  • Responsible for servicing, maintaining, and occasionally installing electronic systems at customer locations within the designated regions
  • Manage a personal inventory of parts and supplies necessary for field repairs
  • Deliver top-tier on-site service support that sets industry standards
  • Collaborate closely with customers to effectively troubleshoot, maintain, and update products
  • Adapt to new technologies while leveraging core strengths in customer service
  • Play a pivotal role in supporting electronic systems for customers in the region
  • Continuously enhance technical competence to provide exceptional assistance and support to customers
