Role Overview:
The Service Manager oversees the effectiveness and profitability of the service division. This position aims to optimize service requests and revenue generation through strategic sales initiatives related to our offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safeguard and manage all resources within the service department.
  • Formulate strategies to identify potential service clientele.
  • Build and sustain positive, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Maintain comprehensive customer service records tailored to client requirements.
  • Provide customers with detailed information regarding our sales initiatives, including pricing, products, promotions, and special offers.
  • Establish connections with suppliers.
  • Address customer inquiries with suitable parts and service options.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop service team members.
  • Authorize all service-related purchases.
  • Ensure sales targets and departmental operational plans are met.
  • Oversee the maintenance of tools, equipment, and supplies for the service team.
  • Monitor and manage costs and expenditures.
  • Conduct regular outreach to assess service needs of existing and prospective clients, both via phone and in-person.
  • Guarantee that trailers are serviced and billed efficiently.
  • Implement safety protocols within the service department (audits, meetings, and training).
  • Oversee and document all service activities, coordinating with vendors, shop supervisors, and end-users.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma required; college education preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in sales, service, and management is essential.
  • Skills: In-depth industry knowledge.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, sales, and customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications and strong organizational skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Able to perform under pressure and manage stress effectively.
  • Travel: Not required.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Work environment includes both office and operational settings.
