Director of Youth Programs

The University of Georgia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Youth Programs. This is a key leadership role that oversees the development and management of youth programming initiatives, including summer camps and academic competitions.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate year-round youth programming, including summer camps and academic competitions.
- Provide year-round support to maintain, manage, and support the daily tasks associated with running and managing youth programs.
- Oversee annual revenue goal budget in excess of $900,000 in support of organizational mission.
- Research, identify, secure, and execute new opportunities for university collaborations/partnerships/sponsored works/grants in support of new and existing programs.
- Supervise two FT Youth Staff members and partner in oversight of teams of temporary staff and instructors hired in support of programs.
- Oversee program evaluation and impact assessment of youth programs to include actively seeking scholarship opportunities where program impact can be accessed and shared.
- Support strategic initiatives of the Georgia Center and University as a whole.
- Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field.
- Master's degree in a related field preferred.
- Background in both day and overnight camp management.
- University-based partnership development and management.
- Education and demonstrated expertise in working with youth.
- Successful grant writing experience.
- Track record of successfully leading and managing a college workforce.
- Proficient in the development and execution of youth camp programs.
- Experience in establishing and implementing protocols for the safety and security of minors.
- Strong skills in managing budgets effectively.
- Project management.
- Curriculum development.
The Director of Youth Programs will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of staff, parents, and community members.
