Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Southcoast Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical support in the Interventional Radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diversified clinical patient care and technical duties within assigned modality
  • Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request
  • Obtain pertinent information from patients chart and document all data within the EHR
  • Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies
  • Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure
  • Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images
  • Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality
  • Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others and aware of MR safety practices
  • Assist physicians in performing procedures
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
  • Attainment of post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Interventional Radiology RT(VI)/(CI)/or (CV)
  • Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Post-primary certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography and ACLS is preferred
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Cardiovascular Credentialing International is required
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
