We are currently seeking a Product Marketing Manager - Safety Solutions.

This role is integral to our Strategic Marketing Department, focusing on the development, execution, and ownership of strategies for our vital business segment: Safety Solutions for Clopay, Cornell, and Cookson brand products. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of relevant building codes and product segments to maintain Clopay Corporation's leadership in safety products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, developing, and executing new product development initiatives.
  • Participating in product planning and promotional strategies.
  • Managing product responsibilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Summarizing complex code requirements and translating them into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Understanding audience segments and aligning their needs with our marketing approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed on relevant codes and standards to guide strategic product development.
  • Conduct interviews and research through various channels to uncover product innovation opportunities.
  • Perform financial analysis, forecasts, pricing strategies, and competitive assessments for new initiatives.
  • Manage the product portfolio for the assigned segment, identifying gaps and opportunities.
  • Gather and organize competitive intelligence for reference.
  • Utilize the StageGate process for new product development.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to convey product features and benefits.
  • Develop marketing plans, including product launches, technical documentation, and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Communications teams to create effective marketing campaigns for new products.

Qualifications:


• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering. Relevant experience will be considered.


• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, or a related field, with 1-3 years in product management.


• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.


• Experience collaborating with customers.

Preferred Qualifications:


• A BS or graduate degree in Fire Protection Engineering is advantageous.


• An MBA is a plus.


• Experience in Fire Protection, Manufacturing, Construction, or Building Materials is preferred.


• Familiarity with StageGate, PhaseGate, or similar new product development processes.


• Recent graduates in Fire Protection Engineering will be strongly considered.
