JOB SUMMARY:
This role is dedicated to delivering hands-on training and mentorship to new employees in their designated roles.
The production trainer will guide new team members while offering necessary resources to ensure they can operate independently and meet production benchmarks.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Facilitate on-the-job training for new production associates in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions. Clarify the rationale behind tasks and train new hires to meet performance expectations.
2. Provide coaching on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, product specifications, and yield standards.
3. Introduce new hires to workplace etiquette, including timekeeping and break schedules.
4. Monitor the progress of new production associates through evaluations.
5. Conduct weekly meetings with the Training Supervisor to review new hire development and personal growth.
6. Perform daily GMP inspections on the production floor.
7. Conduct daily safety inspections of the production area, ensuring compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and procedures.
8. Support the Training Supervisor and HR in organizing and delivering job-specific training sessions.
9. Meet regularly with all newly hired employees to assess performance.
Translator:
Act as a translator for HR, Safety, and Production leadership as required.
10. Assist the Classroom Trainer as needed.
11. Collaborate with HR to finalize new hire documentation.
12. Organize and prepare for Alchemy training sessions.
13. Aid the Safety department with administrative tasks.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned.
15. Maintain training personnel records and the training database; generate reports from the training database.
16. Engage in cross-training across production departments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
HEARING:
Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Depending on the work assignment, must be able to work in a noisy environment.
REPETITIVE MOTION:
Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work long hours in a food processing environment, which is wet, damp, and cold. Temperatures are often below freezing, and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for the majority of their shifts.
