Position Summary:

The Sales Associate is integral to the success of our sales and engineering teams, handling communications and administrative responsibilities associated with both new and ongoing sales. Key tasks include managing incoming and outgoing communications, drafting contracts and service tickets, invoicing, and overseeing account receivables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the business unit to boost rental revenue and improve profit margins by providing outstanding customer service through effective communication.
  • Enhance the customer experience from the initial inquiry to jobsite evaluation, proposal presentation, operational handover, equipment delivery, service, renewal, dismantling, and return.
  • Assist clients with equipment sizing, offering engineered drawings, bills of materials, and pricing suggestions in areas such as cooling, heating, dehumidification, and power.
  • Provide office-based support for field assessments of rental project opportunities, applications, and equipment selections as required.
  • Support the Account Manager with quoting, estimating, CRM management, invoicing, order processing, travel arrangements, and preparation of promotional materials.
  • Guide Sales Interns in understanding the skills and responsibilities essential for progressing to a Sales Associate role.
  • Assist the Account Manager with web inquiries and incoming communications, ensuring prompt customer follow-up and dispatch. Be available for on-call duties during nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Become familiar with a range of industry-leading temporary cooling and heating equipment.
  • Support Account Managers during site visits, analyzing and crafting engineering solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Recognize that this role includes training for potential advancement to an Outside Sales Representative position in either an existing or new market.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field or two years of pertinent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in phone, in-person, and electronic communication methods.
  • Ability to understand and interpret written contracts and purchase orders from new or existing clients.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work additional hours during peak seasons or as directed by management.
  • Open to travel as necessary.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment background and drug screenings.
  • A genuine desire to learn and grow in the role.
