This pivotal role will be based in Central NJ and requires an individual who can expertly oversee both global on-premises and public cloud infrastructures, including AWS, GCP, and Azure. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, transformation experience, and extensive technical knowledge in cloud environments and migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the operations of our on-prem Kubernetes infrastructure alongside public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), ensuring a reliable, scalable, and secure 24/7 operational framework.
  • Lead, nurture, and develop a diverse global team, promoting a collaborative and psychologically safe workplace.
  • Drive transformational projects aimed at simplifying and modernizing cloud infrastructure technologies while optimizing operations.
  • Implement and advocate for Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and infrastructure-as-code methodologies to enhance reliability and performance.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to align objectives and facilitate change.
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement.
  • Support ongoing learning and innovation within the team, particularly focusing on automation technologies and SRE best practices.
  • Utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to identify and resolve challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management.
  • AWS Certifications or equivalent credentials are required.
  • Proven experience in leadership roles, particularly in managing on-prem cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for at least 5 years.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in cloud infrastructure services, networking, and security.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage automation tools and infrastructure-as-code techniques effectively.
  • Experience in implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of leading geographically distributed teams operating 24/7.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration and team-building abilities, comfortable with constructive debate and navigating challenging situations.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to mentor teams in solving complex technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security Certifications or equivalent credentials.
