Job Title: Chief Financial Transformation Officer

About the Role:

The Chief Financial Transformation Officer will lead the finance function in driving process improvements, enhancing transparency and visibility, and delivering measurable results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing new accounting and reporting standards for vendor funds, ensuring tight controls and simplifying accounting processes.
  • Leading the implementation of SAP, including redesign of the general ledger, enhancement of the coding block, and process design.
  • Facilitating the design and financial integration of the new Human Capital Management System for Payroll, including redesign of the general ledger and project management.
  • Designing and implementing best practices to elevate strategic partnerships in identified areas.
  • Driving innovation in process and technology to improve operational efficiency.

Essential Functions:

  • Accountable for the successful delivery of finance transformation projects, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Spearheading the development and implementation of new accounting policy and standards for vendor funds, in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Managing and leading a team of 3 managers in setting finance transformation goals and objectives, ensuring delivery of strategic business goals and driving the operating model.
  • Partnering with senior leaders across functions to achieve operational excellence.
  • Presenting recommendations to the Senior leadership team and various committees.
  • Leading and managing quarterly reviews and year-end financial audits by external auditors.
  • Enabling automated deductions management to improve cash flows and efficiency by redesigning key processes and implementing technology solutions.
  • Designing and implementing SAP S/4 HANA capabilities supporting Finance functions in General ledger, Accounts Receivables, and Accounts Payables.
  • Collaborating with the SAP and HCM task force to provide best-fit technical solutions and aligning with corporate solutions.
  • Designing the technological landscape for Financial Reporting, supporting the SAP design and implementation.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of the new Payroll system and being part of the core Human Capital Management Team.
  • Subject matter expert and business process expert on WF financial processes.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of combined experience in CPG/Retail industry, with at least 5 years of work experience directly related to trade funds.
  • Proven track record of driving accounting and finance process innovation and improvement.
  • Expertise in business process optimization, with a history of achieving significant operational improvements.
  • Ability to lead and shape complex projects from inception to completion, including change management across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, persuasive, and experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Effective communication and relationship management abilities.
  • Prior experience working in or driving innovation in accounting and reporting, accounts receivable, deductions management, and accounts payable.
  • Prior experience with SAP and systems implementations.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, and/or Project Management with CPA preferred.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

How you'll work:

Hybrid schedule – work four days per week in Edison, NJ office. Flexibility to work fifth day at home.

Some weekend work as required.
