Position Title:

Senior Property Management Associate - Full Time role with a commitment of 40 hours per week. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Compensation: $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Long-Term Disability, and 401(k) plan.

Leisure World of Maryland Corporation (LWMC), the managing entity for a private, age-restricted community consisting of 29 associations and over 5,600 residences, is in search of a Senior Property Management Associate to assist the Property Manager in the daily operations and management of the assigned property.

This role encompasses a 460-unit high-rise community within the Leisure World framework.

Key responsibilities include a comprehensive range of property management tasks, such as facility upkeep, oversight of capital improvement initiatives, budget formulation and execution, and fostering resident relations.

Essential functions and primary duties include:

  • Reviewing, preparing, and processing documentation and procedures for the community.
  • Addressing resident inquiries and assessing needs to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Assisting the Property Manager in the research and development of the Annual Operating Budget for the community.
  • Supporting the Property Manager in the selection of service contracts and monitoring vendor performance to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and reporting statistical data to provide an accurate assessment of community activities and objectives.
  • Participating in external and internal meetings and professional organizations as directed.
  • Coordinating with various departments within LWMC to provide services to the community.
  • Under the supervision of the Property Manager, performing all necessary duties to assist in the administration and operation of the community.
  • Coordinating resident move-in and move-out processes in accordance with community regulations.
  • Providing timely updates regarding resident information to relevant departments for database inclusion.
  • Assisting with annual audit and tax preparation as needed.
  • Supporting the Property Manager in executing maintenance and repair tasks to uphold the standards set by the Board.
  • Maintaining inventory controls of all equipment and supplies in line with Board policies.
  • Assisting in managing contracts for essential services included in the operating budget.
  • Preparing contracts for the procurement of necessary equipment and supplies for property maintenance.
  • Helping the Property Manager achieve the goals and objectives of the community and LWMC as outlined by the respective Boards.
  • Assisting in the oversight of all community projects, programs, and resident relations.
  • Providing support and guidance to community volunteer leadership and advisory committees.

This role requires a customer-focused approach in addressing a diverse range of owner, resident, renter, and contractor matters.

Required qualifications include: a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience or training, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), and the ability to deliver accurate work consistently and timely.

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is preferred, ideally in Business Administration.
