Marquette Transportation Company, LLC is seeking a skilled Port Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Offshore Division, you will provide shore-side engineering support to our fleet, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC repairs. You will also supervise and coach/mentor vessel deck crew, specify machinery and equipment for replacement and new construction, and develop specifications for new construction projects. Additionally, you will develop maintenance and repair projections, direct supervise dry-dockings and major repairs, and manage associated costs. You will visit vessels in operation for repair and preventive maintenance planning, assist in advanced troubleshooting of machinery and equipment, and communicate and coordinate all work and plans with other departments. Travel is required as needed to vessels in performance of duties. The ideal candidate will have a marine engineering or related technical degree, good working knowledge of marine mechanical and electrical systems, and excellent computer skills. A valid driver's license and TWIC card are also required.
