Job Title: Application Engineer

LHH is seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer to join our team. As an Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing mechatronic systems and components for Thermal Management projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechatronic systems and components, including hardware, mechanical structures, sensors, actuators, and control algorithms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of higher-level system integration requirements, aligning with overall system architecture.
  • Apply expertise in E/E (Electrical/Electronic) architecture to design and implement electrical systems that meet performance and safety standards.
  • Perform feasibility studies and performance evaluations to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Adhere to industry standards (e.g., ISO 14229, ISO and regulations, including Automotive SPICE).
  • Document design specifications, test procedures, and project updates.
  • Stay updated with advancements in mechatronics technology and propose innovative solutions to boost product performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in mechatronic systems, hardware, software, and/or integration.
  • Knowledge of Automotive SPICE and other quality/engineering tools (e.g., FMEA).
  • Experience with pumps is preferred, particularly those related to coolant systems.
  • Experience with coolant valves is advantageous, especially with those featuring multiple ports for coolant control.
  • Background in application engineering and/or validation engineering is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical interfaces and communication protocols (LIN, PWM) is desirable.
  • Experience in validating or testing mechatronic components is preferred.
  • Experience with the design and deployment of thermal coolant modules is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and structured work style with strong analytical thinking.
  • Practical experience with hardware, sensors, actuators, motors, and other electromechanical components, including validation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
