Job Summary

Fort Bend County is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Assistant Site Supervisor in our Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing care and control to juveniles, supervising Youth Specialists, and implementing the daily operations of the program.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train Youth Specialists in the facilitation of the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program.
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations, monitor and evaluate student progress, and guide line staff and students in the development of the program.
  • Implement the hands-on daily operations of the program, working closely with collateral agencies, school district staff, probation staff, and administrators.
  • Fill in for the Site Supervisor as needed, overseeing site supervision and ensuring adherence to safety requirements.
  • Participate in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster, as directed by county managers.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Two years of experience in a direct care position working with juveniles, preferably in a treatment-oriented, behavior modification, or adolescent/juvenile program.
  • Requires strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage juvenile offenders and guide and supervise staff.
  • CPR First Aid Certification and Handle with Care Certification.
