About the Role:
The Planned Gifts - Fundraiser LII at Rady Children's Hospital is responsible for identifying and developing relationships with high-capacity donors who have the potential to make a planned or deferred gift. This role involves managing a portfolio of prospects and donors to secure significant contributions to support the hospital's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit planned gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations
- Develop and implement strategic plans to build relationships with key donors and prospects
- Collaborate with hospital staff, including development, marketing, and medical teams, to advance the hospital's fundraising goals
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in planned giving and philanthropy, and apply this knowledge to drive results
- Work closely with the hospital's leadership to ensure alignment with the organization's overall strategy and goals
Requirements:
- Proven track record of success in planned giving or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors and hospital staff
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and discretion
