Position Overview:
The role involves calculating, classifying, and documenting numerical data to ensure comprehensive financial records.
Engage in various routine tasks such as calculating, posting, and verifying financial data essential for maintaining accurate accounting records.
This position may also involve verifying the precision of figures, calculations, and postings related to business transactions recorded by other personnel.Key Responsibilities:
Additional responsibilities may include:
1. Verify accuracy of Accounts Payable entries.
2. Reconcile various account statements.
3. Assist in Month-End closing processes as required.
4. Manage annual 1099 reporting.
5. Support and assist during annual audits.
6. Maintain vendor files and documentation.
7. Cross-train in various accounting/bookkeeping functions.
8. Execute general office tasks such as filing, answering calls, and managing routine correspondence.
9. Conduct Journal Entries as necessary.
10. Perform Monthly Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations.
11. Monitor financial records weekly.
12. Oversee Fixed Assets and maintain Depreciation Schedule.
13. Code documents in accordance with company protocols.
14. Adhere to federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
15. Assist with Payroll Processing as needed.
16. Identify and report discrepancies in records.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with Payroll systems, Paylocity is advantageous.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and detail-oriented environment.
Commitment to continuous improvement.
Experience in a multi-company setting is a plus.
Proficient in MS Excel at an intermediate level or higher.
Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred.
