Position Overview:

JOB SUMMARY:
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for acquiring goods, raw materials, and services to meet operational requirements, collaborating closely with the Corporate Direct/Indirect Purchasing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Procure goods, raw materials, and services for the facility, including managing supplier-provided tolled items.
  • Assist the purchasing department and other relevant teams, promptly communicating any supply chain issues that may affect operations.
  • Generate and maintain raw material reports and updates as necessary.
  • Collaborate with procurement colleagues to identify opportunities for process enhancements and operational improvements.
  • Create purchase orders and delivery timelines for raw materials utilizing SAP, and for indirect materials and services through PEIGASS.
  • Establish, nurture, and oversee supplier relationships.
  • Evaluate and relay supplier performance issues to Corporate Purchasing for review.
  • Engage with suppliers to address delivery and documentation challenges.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies efficiently.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
O Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
O Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
O Competence in strategic planning.
O Capacity to work autonomously.
O Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting various departments.
O Demonstrated sound judgment, reliability, initiative, and a positive demeanor.
O High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience.
O Bachelor's degree preferred, with no prior purchasing experience required.
O Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.

EDUCATION:
Required: Accredited high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time - First Shift
