About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Receptionist to join our team at Amazon in Seattle. As a Senior Receptionist, you will be the face and voice of Amazon, providing exceptional customer service to clients and their guests. You will be responsible for resolving escalations, maintaining a high level of service quality, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Amazonians, clients, contractors, and visitors by phone, email, or in person.
  • Act as the point of reference for guests and Amazon employees who need assistance or information and help resolve any escalations.
  • Manage the front desk and front office activities, including opening and closing service locations.
  • Partner with Receptionists on multi-person desks and manage inventory at desks.
  • Responsible for building knowledge and understanding current and future scheduled events, maintenance, and service provider locations.
  • Follow proper procedures to hang and maintain customer posters in all buildings, ensuring a presentable environment at all times.
  • Support Banana Stand and Special Events as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience operating a front desk environment.
  • Positive, upbeat attitude and excellent in-person customer service skills.
  • Must be reliable and punctual with excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain composure and good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be able to potentially lift or carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires travel to several Amazon buildings, so the ability to walk consistently within a 1.5 radius is required.
  • The position requires standing and mobility around the campus for long periods of time up to the entire length of the shift.
  • Ability to work independently and out of line of sight from other team members for all or part of shift.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including occasionally arriving early, staying late on a moment's notice, and occasional evening.
  • This is a dog-friendly environment with over 1000 dogs on campus. Individuals with dog allergies or those who do not particularly care for dogs may not be the best fit.
  • High School Diploma.
