Job Title: Supervisor

Reports to: Area Manager

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Supervisor to join our team at Southern Cleaning Services Inc. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are clean and well-maintained. This is a working floating supervisor position, where you will move between several buildings, filling in where needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
  • Chemical Cleaning: Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Steam-clean or shampoo carpets. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.
  • Building Security and Safety: Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

Requirements:

  • Physical Demands: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
  • Communication: Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Working Conditions: This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The Supervisor will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent changes in priorities and deadlines.
