Position Summary:
The Loan Approval Coordinator will serve as a vital link between our internal teams and external clients. This role is integral to managing the loan process from initiation to completion, ensuring that borrowers are matched with the most suitable financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by guiding clients through loan programs, associated costs, and necessary documentation.
- Conduct thorough reviews of income and asset documentation, utilizing DU for credit verification to ensure loan viability.
- Prepare and present mortgage loan disclosure packages to borrowers, including rate disclosures and re-disclosure materials.
- Manage a diverse pipeline of loans, including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, and reverse mortgage products.
- Assess loan structures to align with borrowers' financial situations.
- Identify and rectify any missing documentation to facilitate approval.
- Communicate loan options and costs effectively with clients (licensure required).
- Pre-underwrite essential documents to support loan approval (e.g., paystubs, credit reports, W2s, bank statements).
- Input data for disclosures and tailor loan setups to meet client needs.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English to effectively engage with a diverse clientele.
- Previous experience in underwriting or processing is advantageous.
- A minimum of 3-5 years in residential mortgage processing is required.
- Familiarity with RESPA guidelines and mortgage regulations is essential.
- Experience with Encompass software is preferred.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Outlook, and Windows is necessary.
