Primary Responsibilities

  1. Cost Estimation: Generate accurate and detailed cost projections for commercial projects, encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
  2. Preconstruction Strategy: Formulate and oversee preconstruction timelines, guaranteeing the timely achievement of all project milestones.
  3. Bid Coordination: Request and assess bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with quality standards.
  4. Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction while preserving quality and project scope.
  5. Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to comprehend project requirements and provide value-oriented solutions.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain thorough documentation of estimates, bids, contracts, and other project-related materials.
  7. Team Coordination: Work alongside project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to facilitate seamless transitions from preconstruction to project execution.

Required Qualifications

  1. Experience: A minimum of 5 years in commercial construction estimation and preconstruction management.
  2. Skills: Proficient in construction estimating software (e.g., Procore), with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple projects.
  3. Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of construction techniques, materials, and industry standards.
  4. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as LEED, PMP, or similar qualifications are preferred.
